An Italian BBQ

It has been raining the past week, but we didn't let that damper our plans on Saturday night. 
We decided to have a BBQ in the rain. What a great time was had.

 Now, an Italian BBQ is quite different than an American BBQ I personally believe. Yes, it's the same in the sense of you are with your friends and family, but the food, now that is a different story. Italians believe in the simplicity of cooking food. And that goes for barbecuing as well.  I have to be honest, I don't miss BBQ sauce at all. In fact, I've come to the conclusion that putting marinades and bbq sauce on the meats is a terrible mistake. Also, you don't need all that sauce to marinate for hours to make the meat tender. The meat is tender on it's own. How can one taste the true flavors of the meat with all the marinades and sauces on top? 

The Essentials for any Italian BBQ: 
Olive Oil 
Fresh Rosemary
Fresh Sage
