One of my favorite Trattoria's to visit in all four seasons. In the summer it is nice to sit outside in the garden, enjoy a nice, simple Italian dish made by Oscar Benetton while in the middle of a wooded forest surrounded by nothing but nature.
For those of you who are not familiar with the word Trattoria, a Trattoria is an Italian Ristorante that serves simple Italian dishes. Mind you, there are no menu's here. It helps if you are fluent in Italian or have someone go with you that is.
When the season changes to Fall, I admire the intense greenery from inside the warm Trattoria. There are 3 different dining rooms in this old villa. Marco and I enjoyed our meal in the "couples" room, which was richly decorated. It was quite romantic to say the least.
and parsley to top it off.
Second course ~ Faraona with a prosecco sugu.
Faraona is also known as the Guinea Fowl in America.
La Baita is a great place to have a delicious yet simple dish. I look forward to going back when the weather changes yet again to winter. As there are winter dishes to look forward to as well as the vast landscape to enjoy.
