I thought this was the coolest thing :

Wine on tap, anyone??

Why isn't there a shop like this is California??
What a genius of an idea.

There are many different kinds of homemade wine here. You can purchase a 5, 10 or 15 liter jug and fill er up with vino!

The prices are great also.. I believe the most you will pay for a liter of wine is 2 euros at this particular Wine shop in Treviso.

Heres to another reason why you should visit Italia!

  1. Now that's a deal! Can you taste the wine before you fill your jugs?

  2. Good question!!! Yes, of course. I am sure if you ask them they will let you have a sample before you buy it. It's also great if you are having a party, or if you simply enjoy drinking wine with lunch and dinner everyday :) xo

  3. That's a great idea. Maybe Marco can take that idea and run with it to the States....Napa come to mind ;)

  4. Thanks for the comment over on my blog :)
I have been able to make pumpkin pie and it turned out lovely !
Here is the recipe that i used :

(i googled an online converter for the measurements)

1 1/4 cups pumpkin puree, canned or fresh
    3/4 cup sugar
    1/2 teaspoon salt
    1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
    1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
    1 teaspoon all-purpose flour
    2 eggs, lightly beaten
    1 cup evaporated milk
    2 tablespoons water
    1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
    1 unbaked pastry shell (9-inch)
whipped cream or whipped topping, for garnish

Combine pumpkin, sugar, salt, spices, and flour in a medium mixing bowl. Add eggs; mix well. Add evaporated milk, water, and vanilla; mix well. Pour into pastry-lined pie pan. Bake at 400° for 15 minutes; reduce heat to 350° and bake about 35 minutes longer, or until center is set.

I found pie crust and pumpkin puree at a shop in Rome called Castroni, or you can try this shop: its become my favorite online shopping place !

All of the other ingredients were easily findable at the grocery store.
If you make it, let me know how it turned out!

Id love your apple crisp recipe :)

    a'presto bella !

    1. I will have to try that recipe this year for sure :) Grazie mille!
