Walking along the "Mura" is one of my favorite things to do in Treviso.
After a BIG Italian Lunch, there's nothing better than taking a walk along the walls of Treviso to help one digest.
It's been quite a long time since Treviso has been threatened by medieval invaders; the walls still stand strong and tall, only used now for a bit of history and walking ~
Here are some photos I took walking along the city's walls on a relaxing Sunday afternoon..
The city surrounded by water "City of Water"
Spring is in the air ~
Love the Italian rooftops ~
What a beautiful view while walking..
A couple of "Nutria" also known as the River Rat
I love seeing wild animals in their natural habitat.. That being said, I'll never forget when I first saw a Nutria, I shouted, "Oh, look a Beaver, a Beaver" Haha, only to find out later that this is not a Beaver but a rather large River Rat ~
I love this view from atop the wall ~ Surrounded by nature and wild animals ~
A pair of River Rats and a Guinea Fowl " Faraona"
The city of Treviso built this beautiful habitat for the animals ~
Smile! Strike a pose for the Camera ~ People from Treviso are so friendly and welcoming :) You can see for yourself in this photo~ And no, I don't know the three men saying Hi :)
